Advertising guidelines

As you are not doubt aware, compliance with advertising rules is a legal and licensing requirement. As a member of the Quick Think Affiliates (QTA) affiliate programme, any advertising you do on our behalf must adhere to advertising requirements at all times.

We have created this document to educate our affiliate partners on the current ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ when promoting our brands. We also wish to remind you of your obligations under the terms of our Affiliate agreement regarding the promotion of both brands.

We want to ensure that none of your advertisements on behalf of QTA are in any way misleading to customers so please familiarise yourself with the requirements outlined below and save this document down for future reference.

Bonus Listing

Wherever you are listing either a Pocket Fruity, Spin Genie, Slingo, Deal or No Deal Games, The X Factor Games or Britain’s Got Talent Games bonus if there is space significant terms of the bonus must be listed.

These significant terms are listed on every landing page below the title bonus. If there is limited space on your advertising space then the absolute minimum is as follows:

Creative

We would advise all of our Affiliates to make use of the large range of creative assets that we have on offer in the Marketing Tools area of your Affiliate account.

We have a large range of different suites for various different games etc. and we include all of the standard sizes required.

You can be assured that all creative assets found in the Marketing Tools area adhere to the advertising regulations and are fully compliant.

Homemade creative

Any creative assets, including homemade banners that are used to promote QTA brand offers MUST be approved by your QTA account manager before being published.

As mentioned above, we strongly advise that you make use of the wide range of banners we provide to promote all of our brands. Any homemade creative assets, promoting QTA brand offers that have not been approved by an account manager may lead to the termination of your account and removal from the Affiliate programme.

Data privacy

We strongly recommend that you seek your own independent legal advice with regards to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). These laws apply to any organisations collecting, storing and/or utilising an individual’s personal data. For more information on GDPR, please visit:

If you are found to be in breach of Data Privacy law, this will lead to the termination of your account and removal from the Affiliate programme.

Email Marketing

We do not allow any email campaigns to 3rd party databases, unless otherwise pre-approved by a QTA account manager and your database has been suppressed against our own. This is to ensure 3rd parties are not communicating with self-excluded customers.

If you wish to email to your own database then the email can never be mistaken for being sent on behalf of Quick Think Affiliates, Gaming Realms plc or any one of our brands.

If you are engaging in email activity, this must be shared with your account manager and QTA may require the details of where and how you have sourced your data for the send.

Social Media Affiliates

As we are sure you are aware, Facebook and Twitter have strict guidelines in regards to advertising. Please see below for more details and familiarise yourself with them.

Social Media Posts

When promoting QTA brand offers, it is imperative that you are as clear as possible and do not mislead the customer in anyway. If you follow the below guidelines, you should be safe but if you are in doubt, please contact us before you post:

Paid Social Advertising

If conducting paid social advertising, the paid adverts should be promoting the Affiliate site and not the QTA brand websites. It should not be possible for a consumer to think you are promoting our brand directly. If in doubt, please share the creative and user journey with us before going live.

Pop under campaigns

QTA does not condone any pop under activity of any sort. Any Affiliate that is found to be running this sort of activity will result in their account being terminated and they will be removed from the Affiliate program.

PPC

While we allow and work with Affiliates in the PPC space, there are a few conditions in which we do not allow as part of the Affiliate programme:

Apps

Any Affiliates who are releasing apps into the app store must ensure that the app name does not feature either of QTA brand names. Any Affiliate found to have released an app including either brand name, will be asked to remove the app immediately and may result in account termination.

Domain names/URLs

Affiliates are not allowed to register any domain names which include either of QTA brand names (Pocket Fruity, Spin Genie, Deal or No Deal Games, Slingo, The X Factor Games, Britain’s Got Talent Games). Any Affiliate who registers domain names in breach of this rule will have their account suspended pending an investigation.

SMS Marketing

QTA have made the decision not to engage in any SMS activity through a third party for the foreseeable future. Any Affiliate found to be running SMS activity will have their account terminated immediately.

Advertorials

QTA do not wish to feature in any advertorials. If an Affiliate is found running any of these campaigns they will be immediately suspended.

Media Buying

QTA have made the decision not to engage in any media buying unless a set domain list can be provided of exactly where either brand appears and you are using our provided creative. If you are buying through an ad-exchange programmatically this type of activity is prohibited as part of the Affiliate Programme.

Affiliate Networks

Unless the network can provide explicit details of where the traffic source is coming from then we do not wish to work with affiliate networks.
